Gwangju FC’s 2026 seat map marks the south end of section E (east side), A and B in the front row and G, H and I in the back row, as the supporters’ section and all of section N (north side) as the away section, with the home-team gate at the south-east corner near the supporters. The club’s press releases also describe the W, E and S stands as home-fan seating. How this experience was built
What sources confirm — From the Gwangju World Cup Stadium seat map in Gwangju FC’s 2026 ticket policy, we read the names and order of the 45 sections on sale (E A–L, W A–G, I and J, N (away) A–L, S A–L), their front and back rows, and each section’s share of its row. The map has no scale, so positions are modelled. The front of the lower stand sits 4.3 m outside the outer edge of a standard 400 m, eight-lane track, a value back-solved from the pitch markings and track lane lines in a match photo on the Seo-gu district website. Row counts follow the club photo, which shows about 10 rows in front of the lower-tier cross aisle and about 10 behind it. The supporters’ section (E A, B, G, H, I) and the N away section are as marked on the seat map.
What remains estimated — The only official seat count is the operator’s 40,245 for the whole stadium (Gwangju Sports Council), so per-block counts for the lower tier sold at Gwangju FC matches are the number of seats that fit each outline at 0.8 m rows and 0.45 m seats (a model value). The front line comes from a photo back-solve and may be off by about ±2 m, and the north and south ends are assumed to follow the track at the same distance as the east and west sides. First-row heights (1.3 m in front of the cross aisle, 6 m behind it) and riser heights are estimates from photo proportions. The east and west upper tiers, which are not sold, the centre of the W back row (main-stand seating) and the simple table seats in W B are excluded. With no upper tier, the roof is drawn low over the lower stand. Rows, numbers and sound are experience models.
