Comparing seats at Nippon Budokan

Compare stage distance, front and side views, and sound direction in A/B. Views may change with the actual stage and equipment layout. Blocks follow the operator's seating chart (side and floor); the number in each block name, and the rows and seat numbers, are examples. Heights come from the operator's section. Check the actual stage layout and the sections on sale with the ticket seller.

What sources confirm — We read the side, order and aisle positions of the 85 blocks on 1F, 2F and 3F from the official vector seating chart in the operator's (Nippon Budokan) pamphlet. The real distances and heights of each ring come from the operator-supplied section and floor plans published in the Tokyo Metropolitan Government's environmental impact assessment. The section is scaled by its 42 m building-height dimension (its 98.7 m eaves match the 99 m read off the 1:1,500 site plan, and its 55.4 m arena wall-to-wall matches the 55.5 m of a regular octagon with the official 2,551.48 m² floor). The 1F stand runs 23.9–31.4 m from the centre to its side, 9 rows, treads 3.2→5.9 m; the 2F stand projects over it at 25.1–35.2 m, 12 rows, 8.6→13.4 m; the 3F stand is at 36.2–45.3 m, 11 rows, 13.9→18.7 m (row heights from the row lines of the facing stand drawn in the section). Seats per floor match the operator's 2026 facility outline (1F 3,199 · 2F 3,604 · 3F 4,272).

What remains estimated — Seats per block split each floor's official total in proportion to what fits in the block, so they are estimates, and rows and numbers are examples. The official chart is a schematic that draws the three rings at the same width, so it does not fix aisle widths. The 0.42 m seat pitch is chosen so the official 3,199 seats fit the nine 1F rows; the 2F corner stairs and entrances (about 4 m per corner) and the vomitory in the middle of each 2F side (2.9 m wide, rows 7–12) are taken from the plan and section and sized to the official total. The section reads at 0.11 m per pixel, and the other sides are assumed to have the same height for the same row. The stage (20 m wide, 10 m deep, 1.5 m high) is an example placed at the north end where the operator's stage lift is; the 2,946 arena temporary seats, the 480 3F standing places and wheelchair spaces are not included. On the N, NE and NW sides the 3F is behind or beside the stage, so the back of the stage is hidden by the 2F front. The actual stage layout (some shows use a centre stage) and the sections on sale differ from show to show.

Views are calculated using a 1.75 m figure, your chosen eye height and seat coordinates. Actual obstructions from people, railings or equipment and show-specific layouts may not be represented. Sound samples compare the direction and distance of instruments, speakers and crowds. They do not reproduce the venue’s actual sound quality or reverberation. Scores indicate preference fit; actual obstructions, sound quality and price are not yet included.
